I started mixing the same way most people do — trying to fix my own songs because I couldn't afford to pay someone else to do it. A lot of late nights, a lot of bad decisions undone the next morning, and slowly figuring out what actually makes a record sound finished instead of just loud.
Somewhere along the way, other artists started asking me to mix their stuff too. What started as favors turned into MixedByMoney — a real operation, still built around the same thing that got me into this in the first place: making a song sound like the version that was stuck in your head when you wrote it.
How I work
I'm based in Chattanooga, TN, but everything I do is remote-friendly — send me your session, I send back a mix, we go back and forth until it's right. No studio visit required, though if you're local, that's always an option too.
I care about turnaround time as much as I care about quality. You shouldn't have to wait a month to hear a rough mix, and you shouldn't get a mix that sounds like it was rushed either. That balance is most of what I've spent the last few years getting right.
Outside the DAW
I also write songs, build beats, and stream sessions sometimes so people can watch a mix come together in real time. If you want to see how a track goes from rough to finished, that's the place to catch it.
